A late-Makkan surah known as 'the surah of blessings' (an-Ni'am). It marshals the blessings of Allah โ rain, cattle, the bee and its honey, ships, the night and day โ as proofs of Tawhid, refutes the customs of shirk, and closes with the comprehensive command of justice, ihsan and generosity to kindred, and the call to 'invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching.'
