A middle-Makkan surah. Its centrepiece is Sulayman (peace be upon him) โ the ant in the valley, the hoopoe's report, and the Queen of Saba's journey from sun-worship to submission: 'I submit with Sulayman to Allah, Lord of the worlds' โ knowledge and power held in gratitude rather than pride.
