Introduction — from Tafheem-ul-Quran
A middle-Makkan surah refuting doubts about Tawhid, revelation and resurrection. It describes those whose sides forsake their beds to call on their Lord in fear and hope — 'no soul knows what comfort of the eyes is hidden for them.' The Prophet ﷺ would recite it in the Fajr prayer of Friday.
Condensed from Sayyid Abul A'la Maududi's introduction to this surah in Tafheem-ul-Quran.
