Introduction — from Tafheem-ul-Quran
A Makkan surah on pure, unmixed devotion: 'Unquestionably, for Allah is the pure religion.' It contrasts the fates of the grateful and the ungrateful, and carries one of the widest doors of hope in the Quran — 'Say: O My servants who have transgressed against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; indeed Allah forgives all sins.'
