Introduction — from Tafheem-ul-Quran
Revealed after the expulsion of Banu an-Nadir (4 AH), who broke their treaty with the Muslims. It sets out the law of fay' property, praises the Ansar who prefer others over themselves 'even though poverty be their lot', urges every soul to look to what it has sent ahead for tomorrow, and ends with the most concentrated passage of Allah's beautiful names in the Quran.
