An early-Makkan surah sworn by the fig, the olive, Mount Sinai and the secure city: 'We created man in the best of stature, then reduced him to the lowest of the low โ except those who believe and do righteous deeds.' Human dignity is real, but it is kept only through faith and action; is not Allah the most just of judges?
