Introduction — from Tafheem-ul-Quran
Revealed in the Prophet's ﷺ final period — Ibn Abbas understood it as the announcement of his approaching departure. When Allah's help and the conquest come, and you see people entering the religion of Allah in crowds, then glorify your Lord with praise and seek His forgiveness: mission accomplished is met not with pride but with tasbih and istighfar.
