Introduction — from Tafheem-ul-Quran
The first of the two surahs of refuge (al-Mu'awwidhatayn). Say: I seek refuge in the Lord of the daybreak from the evil of what He created, from the evil of darkness when it settles, from the evil of the blowers on knots, and from the evil of an envier when he envies. The Prophet ﷺ recited both surahs for protection every night.
