An early-Makkan surah about 'the great news' the people disputed โ the resurrection. It piles proof upon proof: the earth a cradle, the mountains pegs, sleep a rest, the night a covering, the day for livelihood, the seven strong heavens and the blazing lamp. The Day of Decision has an appointed time, and no word will be spoken wrongly before the Most Merciful.
